Music Lineup

The BBQ & Blues festival will feature three popular blues bands.

Reds Blues

Red’s Blues is a blues revue keeping the blues alive. They play lots of traditional, Chicago shuffles, New Orleans-delta, and West Coast blues. Performing acoustically and electrically, the four-five piece band also has some original music in their repertoire. With John Cocuzzi, great New Orleans style piano player, and organ. Plus Dave Earl from San Francisco, great guitarist and blues harmonica player!!

Red’s Blues has a finger-poppin’ attitude—straight outta the golden years when blues, R&B and swing all meshed together and dance floors every night were filled with snake hips and slow drags. Beth, with her sensual, southern voice and classy behind-the-beat phrasing finds perfect rhythmic support in both Carr and R.W. They all know the secret of groove.

“I finally got home and got my mail and found Red’s Blues and put it on. I liked everything I heard. Henri likes it a lot too. It has a great feel and all the musicians are excellent. ….especially that bass player. I like all the tunes, but Girlish Days, Detroit Blues, Why Don’t You Do Right and Sally Lou stand out. I’ll be listening to Red’s Blues more. Thank you very much and much luck with it.” — Grammy-winning blues legend Charlie Musselwhite

Ray "Catfish"Copeland Band

“Wow…. This band rocks. It's fresh and familiar all at the same time. This band has a sound, Marilyn Woods gives things a whole other sonic thrill, and your guitar player's tasty licks come right on through. I don't say these things lightly, you know me better than that. Congrats on a fine disc.” -Bob Keller, Legendary rock radio host (The Eagle 96.9FM, Sacramento).
